0. What is the link to your project on itch.io?

1. What are the controls to your game? How do we play?
Arrow keys to move left and right, x to jump, z to shoot, 1-8 above your keyboard can be used to teleport around the stage to skip certain areas.
2. What creative additions did you make? How can we find them?
We added every enemy in the stage, imported the visuals for enemies, megaman, and the level itself, coded the behavior and features of every enemy, and tuned megaman's movement and combat to match the feel of megaman 2.
3. Any assets used that you didn't create yourself?
All art assets came from The Spriters Resource https://www.spriters-resource.com/nes/mm2/
Classic game starter kit resources come from Jeremy Bond
Music provided by the Megaman Fandom website: https://megaman.fandom.com/wiki/Metal_Man_Stage
4. Did you receive help from anyone outside this class or from anyone in this class that is not in a group with you?
No.
5. Did you get help from any AI Code Assistants?
No.
6. Did you get help from any online websites, videos, or tutorials?
We utilized a Megaman 2 emulator to help us tune our game feel by comparing our build to the real game: https://www.retrogames.cz/play_346-NES.php
7. What trouble did you have with this project?
Tuning the movement was difficult, as was coding some of the enemies, especally pierobot (the wheel guy) who was very challenging. We struggled a lot throughout this project, and getting the game to feel authentic forced us to prioritize and cut some smaller aspects of the game, like animations and pickups, or a life system.
8. Is there anything else we should know?
The webGL build breaks a few parts of the game for some reason. Short-jumping no longer functions, and the Blocky (the tall metal tower dude) dies if shot anywhere, rather than having the lemons bounce off of his body anywhere but his head. I'm not sure why but it has to be something with webGL because it works in Unity.
